    Matching against inventory

    The configurator matches the customer's wish against available stock, so a custom order with a long lead time can become a car that is already there.

    Option code decodes itself

    A pasted GM option code becomes trim, colour, wheels and packages. From the GMSV Dealer Portal at Clive Sutton.

    Only exact image matches

    A stand-in image is never shown. What cannot be ordered never appears. So the customer sees exactly the car they will get.

    Signature and live preview

    The order ends with a signature captured on screen. And each of the 14 settings areas carries a live preview, so every change is visible immediately.

What happens to options that have no image?

A stand-in image is never shown. Only exact image matches appear, and what cannot be ordered never shows up. So the customer sees exactly the car they will get.

Where does an enquiry from the configurator go?

To the responsible dealer. Routing happens automatically by distance from the customer's postcode. In Corvette Center 2.0 the customer then confirms by link, the dealer is notified, and if nobody responds the system escalates on its own.

Can the order be completed inside the configurator?

In the GMSV Dealer Portal at Clive Sutton the order ends with a signature captured on screen, across seven order states in the lifecycle. Whether it should go that far for you is decided in the first call.
